Robert Cline, MD – Chairperson
Dr. Cline attended Duke University for pre-medical training and graduated medical school from Duke University in 1963. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and has over 40 years of experience. Dr. Cline has served as Chairman of The Florida Board of Medicine. Dr. Cline was listed in The Best Doctors in America (Southeast Region) in 1996-1997 and was awarded as the Best Doctor by South Florida Miami Magazine in 2009. Dr. Cline currently is a Thoracic Surgeon practicing Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Kriston Kent, MD – President
Dr. Kent completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Alabama in 1980 and went on to graduate Medical School from the University of Alabama, School of Medicine in 1984. Dr. Kent is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Kent has over 20 years of experience and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Florida, College of Medicine. He is a Facial Plastic Surgeon that currently practices in Naples, FL.
David Holcomb, MD – Vice President
Dr. Holcomb acquired his undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University in 1986 and then graduated Medical School from the University of Texas Medical
Branch in 1992. Dr. Holcomb is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He has over 15 years of experience and was the past President of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Holcomb is currently the President of the Sarasota County Medical Society and practices in Sarasota, FL.
Rajankumar Naik, MD – Treasurer
Dr. Naik graduated Pre-Medical School from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (India) in 1972 and graduated Medical School from Medical College Baroda in 1976. Dr. Naik has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine – Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Naik was the past Chairman for the Department of Medicine Clearwater Community and is currently practicing Geriatric Medicine and Internal Medicine, with over 30 years of experience, in Clearwater, FL.
Mahesh Amin, MD – Secretary
Dr. Amin obtained his undergraduate degree from the City College of New York in 1984 and graduated Medical School from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York in 1986. Dr. Amin is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine – Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr. Amin is a current member of the Pinellas County Medical Society and, with his 24 years of medical experience, continues to practice Cardiology and Internal Medicine in Clearwater and Palm Harbor, FL.
Ranchhod Khant, MD
Dr. Khant graduated from Gujarat College (India) in 1974 and continued his medical education at B.J. Medical College (India), where he graduated in 1979. Dr. Khant is American Board of Internal Medicine certified and American Board of Internal Medicine – Cardiovascular Disease certified. Dr. Khant is on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association of Brandon and was the past Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Brandon Hospital. Dr. Khant currently practices Cardiology and Internal Medicine in Brandon, FL with over 30 years experience.
Ben Kirbo, MD
Ben J. Kirbo, M.D. received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and completed his medical degree at the University of Miami. Dr. Kirbo completed his general surgery residency at the University of Kentucky and his plastic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University where he trained under several internationally recognized plastic surgeons and perfected his surgical skills. Dr. Kirbo has a particular interest in facial cosmetic surgery, breast surgery and body contouring. Additionally, he has interest and experience in post-bariatric weight loss surgery and provides these surgeries to many patients within the North Florida and South Georgia area. He has extensive training in melanoma/skin cancer treatment and Mohs repairs. Dr. Kirbo is known by his colleagues both locally and regionally for his expertise in revising/correcting undesirable plastic surgery results. Dr. Kirbo along with Southeastern Plastic Surgery was selected as the only local surgical practice to participate in the Florida Melanoma Study. He was recently recognized by the Tallahassee community as a recipient of The Tally Awards as top surgeon in Tallahassee. This award was voted on and awarded by the community for providing the highest quality of care to Tallahassee and the surrounding areas
Rebecca Lambert, MD
Dr. Lambert received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1992 and her medical degree from Columbia University in 1998. She is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. She founded the Woodruff Institute for Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery in Naples, FL in 2004. She has received Castle and Connolly’s Best Doctor award since 2009. Currently, Dr. Lambert practices dermatology in Naples and Bonita Springs, FL.
Rajendra Gupta, MD
Dr. Gupta obtained his medical degree from the Sawai Man Singh Medical College in 1971. He then continued his medical training in internal medicine at Allegheny University Hospital in Pennsylvania in 1978. A fellowship was later completed in 1979 in gastroenterology from Maryland General Hospital in 1980. Dr. Gupta currently practices gastroenterology in his private practice in Fort Lauderdale.
Thomas Hooker, DO
Dr. Hooker is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree at Villanova University in 1980 before studying medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He earned his medical degree in 1984 and was honored with The William Goldman Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Before coming to Florida, he served a one-year rotating internship in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida and in 1988 was first Board Certified. Dr. Hooker went on to further his education by completing a two-year fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine and was chosen for an additional year in training in Critical Care, also at the University of South Florida. During his advanced subspecialty training, he became particularly interested in the management of lung cancer and asthma. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Hooker has been the treating physician in hundreds of sleep cases. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Hooker is currently working at Pulmonary Associates of Brandon located in Brandon, FL.
Paul DiMarco, MD
Dr. DiMarco received his undergraduate degree from Temple University in 1975 and then completed his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in 1972. He continued his training at the College Hospital in New Jersey and completed a fellowship from the University of South Florida. He currently is a board certified internist and endocrinologist. Dr. DiMarco currently practices at Gulf Coast Endocrine and Diabetes Center in Clearwater, FL
